Program: Slideshow of Photographs of the Women's March on Washington, DC on January 21, 2017

The photos were taken by an OWL DuPage member who attended the march. 500,00+ women made history in D.C. that day, as well as did hundreds of thousands of women in cities large and small across the U.S. and internationally. It was an exciting event and the photos tell the story. Join us for this lively program.

We will also discuss the sad news that National OWL offices in Washington, D.C. have ceased operations. A letter from National Board President Margaret Hellie Huyck on February 19, 2017 told us about the closing of National OWL but encouraged us to keep OWL alive. Margaret said in her letter: "We hope that all OWL members and friends continue to advocate for OWL issues, and present the 'OWL's eye view' on proposed and actual policy and practices that impact the lives of midlife and older women." As you know, OWL DuPage Area is registered as an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We stand on our own but we will need to discuss how we re-focus without a national office. Hope to see you on Saturday!
